Tour program

Day 1. Arrival in Hargeisa - the capital of the unrecognized country of Somaliland (officially part of Somalia). Transfer to the unique Laas Giil rock paintings, which are considered the best preserved in Africa. Return to Hargeisa for lunch. City tour around the city with a visit to the money and gold markets. Dinner in the evening. Rest at the hotel.

Day 2 After breakfast, we go to the animal market, where hundreds of camels are brought from all over the country for resale. After lunch, transfer to the airport for a flight to Djibouti. Upon arrival, transfer to Kempinski Hotel - the best hotel in the country. 

Day 3 Today we have a city tour of Djibouti and a visit to the lowest point in Africa - the Assal salt lake. On the way to Lake Assal, we will stop at the observation deck on the Great African rift of tectonic plates, from where the African continent is spreading in different directions. Lunch and dinner on the way.  

Day 4 Early in the morning we leave towards the unique Abbe Lake, partially dried up, but it is thanks to this that we will be able to admire what they call “chimneys” - small volcanoes up to 30 meters high from which smoke is still coming out. Volcanic processes underground are still ongoing, which is confirmed by thermal springs gushing out of the ground. Lunch on the way, dinner in Djibouti. Overnight at the Kempinski hotel.  

Day 5 Relax in the hotel. Transfer to the airport and flight to Asmara, the capital of Eritrea (flight via Addis Ababa). Overnight at Asmara Palace Hotel. 

Day 6 Sightseeing day in the capital of Eritrea. Inspection of colonial architecture, visit to the local market and the cathedral. Lunch and dinner on the itinerary. 

Day 7 Transfer to the airport: flight to Ukraine.  

Tour cost: 2950 USD/person for a group of 2 people.

*For a group of more than 2, the cost is lower depending on the number of travelers.
