Tour program

The day before departure from Ukraine to the USA, transfer to flights to Alaska

1 day. Arrival in Anchorage.

 

Independent transfer (or ordering a transfer) from the airport to the hotel, rest before the start of the program. 

Day 2 Anchorage

We dedicate the day to the capital of Alaska. Everything possible is concentrated in the capital, since more than half of Alaska's population lives in Anchorage. Waiting for us: ohthe uniquely designed building of the Anchorage Tourism Information Center, the house of one of the first settlers of the city - Oscar Anderson, city murals, a river with swimming salmon, views of Knik Arm Bay and airplanes flying overhead, a climb to the observation deck above the city from the mountains with panoramic views species.

For lunch we'll go to the best pizzeria in Anchorage and the third rated in all of America! 

After lunch, visit the largest museum in Alaska - the Anchorage Museum.  

3 day. Anchorage - Girdwood - Portage Valley - Alyeska - Anchorage

We set off for the town of Girdwood, stopping along the way at the most beautiful sites with views of the bay. Turnagain Arm. 

Today along the route is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a non-profit sanctuary where animals feel most comfortable. Bears, moose, bison, musk oxen, porcupines and much more wildlife. We cross the valley, the lake and pass the Portage Glacier. Of course we will stop at observation platforms and take walks. 

We are moving to Whittier. Whittier is located on the edge of Passage Canal Bay. This town is notable for the fact that almost all of its residents, about 300 people, almost all live in one condominium. The town has a pier for cruise ships. For lunch, we will visit a local cafe and try a salmon burger.  

We return to Anchorage, have dinner at a restaurant with real Alaska steaks. 

4 day. Anchorage - Seward - Kenai Fjords National Park - Anchorage 

Early in the morning we leave for Seward, where we will begin our cruise through Kenai Fjords National Park. Kenai Fjords National Park is a coastal fjords offering tranquil, beautiful views of the sea, icy landscapes, misty mountains, nameless waterfalls in canyons, and glaciers. These are ancient and wild areas with many diverse ecosystems. 

The cruise will take place on board a warm and comfortable ship, lunch is included in the cruise price. After the cruise we return to Anchorage.  

Day 5 Anchorage - Matanuska - Wasilla - Anchorage 

Today early in the morning we go to Matanuska Glacier. Matanuska is the largest glacier in Alaska, we will be able to get closer to close to it and maybe even walk along it. A walk on the glacier is carried out with an instructor and in special equipment, it is a unique experience in a unique place.  

Transfer to the town of Wasilla. Visit the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race headquarters. The annual multi-day sled dog race starts here. 

In the evening return to Anchorage. 

Day 6. Anchorage - Talkeetna - Denali National Park - Fairbanks 

Early in the morning we leave for Talkeetna, a small town at the confluence of three rivers. We will visit a small shop-factory producing birch syrup. It is a local delicacy and a rival to maple syrup from the east of the country.  

We move to Denali National Park. Denali National Park is the most famous and best reserve in Alaska; it is the northernmost reserve on the planet. Here is a unique opportunity to be surrounded by untouched wildlife, tundra and see wild animals in their natural habitat: moose, deer, brown bears, wolves, and many birds. Magnificent views of Mount Denali, the highest peak in North America (6194 meters). 

After visiting the national park, we will have dinner at a local American restaurant, steaks, burger and craft beer.

Transfer to Fairbanks, late arrival. Overnight at the hotel. 

Day 7. Fairbanks-China-Fairbanks 

Fairbanks City Tour. Fairbanks is the largest and coolest city in interior Alaska and the second largest city in the state, and home to the second University of Alaska. This is a city where, from the end of August, under certain weather conditions, you can observe the northern lights... 

Our route will pass along the China River, past the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the Museum of the North, the Maurice Thomson Cultural Center. We will visit Pioneer Park - a historical theme park, one of the most important attractions, where the history of exploration, culture and traditions of Alaska are presented. 

We visit the Fontainehead Antique Car Museum, a surprisingly chic collection of vintage cars.  

We move to the town of China, where we will have the opportunity to swim in the hot springs. Return to Fairbanks. 

Day 8. Fairbanks - Denali - Anchorage 

Today we return to Anchorage and We are finishing the main tour program. But our adventures don't end there for those who want to take one of the coolest trips into the world of wildlife in Alaska and around the world - flying to Katmai National Park to watch the Wild Bears as they hunt for salmon on the river. 

Day 9 Katmai National Park (additional payment).  

Katmai National Park is located in southwest Alaska. The park is named after the Katmai volcano. In total, there are 18 volcanoes in the park, more than half of which were active during the 20th century.

Thanks to the eruption of the Katmai volcano, one of the attractions appeared in the park - the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes. But the main attraction of Katmai National Park, which attracts tourists from all over the world, is the Bearswho hunt salmon as they spawn on the Brooks River during the summer months.

Katmai National Park is home to more than 2,200 bears, about 140 species of birds and more than 20 species of fish, as well as wolves, foxes, moose, coyotes, beavers and many, many others.

The park cannot be reached by land. All tours operate from Anchorage using small aircraft. The one-way flight is about 3 hours. The entire tour is in English for the whole day until 10-12 o'clock.

In the evening, return to Anchorage airport for flight to Europe or continue the program with independent tours. 

Cost of a tour to Katmai National Park - 1950 USD/person including all flights and overnight stay at the hotel from the 8th to the 9th day.

1. Independent visit Alaska Native Heritage Center (1-1.5 hours)
— 85$ per person.

 

2. Visit to the Alyeska ski resort with the Alyeska Tram lift (1-1.5 hours) - 125$ per person.
Let's take a scenic lift ride Alyeska Tram from the resort of Alyeska to the peak of the same name.
From a height of more than 700 m you will have stunning views of the bay Turnagain Arm, and on the opposite side of the bay - on
series of peaks Semi "hanging" glaciers and endless peaks in the depths of the mountain Chugach ridge.

 

3. Visit to the dog kennel and dog sledding (1.5-2 hours) - 145$ per person.
Live communication with dogs, the opportunity to see dogs of the breed Husky, and then go sledding.

 

4. Flight to the mountain Denali with the ability to land an aircraft on a glacier (1-2 hours, flight up to 45 minutes) - 495$ (695$ - with
landing on a glacier) per person. Unique experience!

 

5. Excursion to gold mining site with the ability to wash the ore yourself (1.5-2 hours)
— 135$ per person.
The excursion will take place near the dredger Dredge No. 8, which was in operation from 1928 to 1959. And during this period
he paved a 7.2 km long path and mined more than 200 tons of gold!
Now the dredger is named a historical monument of mechanical engineering. During the excursion there will be an opportunity to ride
on an old steam locomotive to the ore mining site, and then independently wash the gold from the ore.

 

6. Rafting on the Tanana River in Denali National Park (3 hours) - 345$ per person.
Tourists must have warm clothing, a wetsuit, special boots and safety equipment.

road with picturesque views of Alaska (12 hours) - from 269$ ticket + 50$ service fee for one person.
