Ski tours in Austria - where to go?
Ski tours in Austria
When it comes to small Austria, winter sports enthusiasts immediately think of snow-covered slopes, modern lifts and ski pass prices. This season, the latter have not grown too much - a day of skiing in the Saalbach area will cost 55 euros. And this is 270 km of ski slopes! There are places to roam.
What do you need to know about Austria?
It was the Austrians who first realized that skiing down the slopes is not only fun and extreme, but also profitable. Already in 1904 they held the first competitions, and in 1928 the first lift began to work. And Austria began to rapidly acquire all the necessary infrastructure for every lover to ride.
Two-thirds of this country is occupied by the Alps, on the slopes of which there are more than 800 resorts. Of these, 20% are year-round thanks to massive glaciers. The slopes are carefully looked after, the lifts are regularly serviced and updated, there is a huge selection of apre-ski for tourists: restaurants, bars, discos, thermal baths, swimming pools, water parks, casinos, shops and other entertainment.
The hotel base in Austria is very attractive. Meals - mostly breakfasts, some hotels offer half board, and sometimes you can see all inclusive. There are also apartments for a company of 3-6 people. They are inexpensive, have their own kitchen and you need to cook on your own.

It is worth remembering that:
- The easiest tracks in the Austrian ski resorts are "blue", they are designed for beginners. There are no green trails.
- The lifts are open from 8:30 to 16:00, but some resorts have evening skiing.
- In most ski resort hotels, bookings can only be made from Saturday to Saturday.
Hotels have a tourist tax, on average 1.70-2 euros per person per night. There is a deposit (returned during check-out) and a fee for cleaning the room after you.
Now let's move on to the most important point: where to fly?
If you are reluctant to go to Vienna, and from there to think and decide something, you should pay attention to charters. There is a transfer to Salzburg with a transfer to the resorts of this region. And there is up to Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. Carry, respectively, to the resorts of this area. Our ski tours to Austria are presented with flights to both cities.

The highest point is the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, thanks to which you can ski here all year round.
