Yachting: What? How? Why?
Yachting: What? How? Why?
Brief advice and answers.
For many, the word “yachting” evokes luxury vacations, but everything is in our head. In fact, yachting under sail is a cool and affordable vacation. We would compare with the cost of a good hotel in the resorts of Europe with breakfast + dinner. ) The cost of a week on a yacht is from 500 euros, depending on the route. The most expensive expeditions are the North from 800 to 1000 euros + air tickets.
There are many different classes of yachts. We went on a sailing cruising yacht, which has everything you need for life - cabins, showers and toilets, a kitchen, a wardroom and a cozy space on deck - a great place to sleep in a sleeping bag under the stars.
Usually on a yacht there are from 8 to 12 places, cabins for two people, there is a gas stove and an oven - so we did not deny ourselves food. )
But we were afraid of another test - seasickness. Thanks to our beloved doctors on the phone, we prepared in advance, we drank the pills back in Kyiv. On the yacht, everything went as it should, and for everyone! Although, the arsenal of pills from motion sickness to calming the nerves was in the most prominent place. True, once from a strong pitching at the very beginning of the journey we were a little whirled. We slept, took a nap in the cabin, and everything is OK!
About girlish - about shower and toilet
The yacht has two huge tanks with fresh water, which are filled in the port. There was enough water for everyone (those accustomed to boilers washed sparingly at home). Two toilets combined with showers - such as in airplanes. Once you get used to it, there is enough space for everything. )
About security. As our M.G.G. says - She is above everything. )
The yacht has a lifeline. We moved, holding on to the harness, so as not to fly off and slide off the deck.
Yachts are made in such a way that even in a storm and with strong pitching, they simply cannot roll over. It takes a lot of effort to make a yacht sink, but even if this happens, there is always an inflatable boat - a tuzik (the whole trip I thought that it was just an affectionate name for a rubber boat, but it turns out that it is not).
Yachting is like “changing a woman”, only at sea. There are shifts in the cabins - people in the cabins take turns cooking, washing, cleaning, but somehow everything came out at our request and from the heart. Not only girls cooked
There is no Wi-Fi, sockets work only in marinas, sometimes the network does not catch at all. Only the sea, the wind develops hair to the music: "Yacht, sail, in this world we are the only ones" .... Even more than a dream, right?
What to take with you on the yacht (write down or save): a jacket with a hood, a long-sleeved shirt, sunscreen, crocs (there were a lot of hedgehogs on the beaches), shorts, all swimwear that you have, a couple of T-shirts, something for your head , a towel and a favorite book.
The week flies by unnoticed, the color of the sea water is mesmerizing, the fresh air just makes you want to eat. No people, no cars ... Only adventures (there were many things), the sea, the sun and the sound of the surf. Summer, you're great!
